Dividend Portfolio Update for March 2024
I consider myself fortunate for the ability to appreciate life’s simple pleasures. On this rainy day, I’m grateful for the roof over my head, the warmth of a comforting cup of coffee, and the gentle ambiance set by soft jazz. As I clear my mind, pondering what to write about, I am drawn back to what I believe is truly one of life’s greatest successes.
A tamed mind is an ultimate success. Learning to have control over one’s thoughts, emotions, and reactions is what I believe is one of the few ultimate successes in life. It enhances one’s ability to focus, manage stress and anxiety better, build better relationships, improve self-discipline, make better decisions and overall leads towards a state of mind that promotes gratitude, contentment, and a positive outlook on life.
The first 3 months of this year were nothing short of amazing. The fruits of sacrifice, patience, and practicing delayed gratification are starting to show its benefits more so than ever. Money buys many things, but many seem to not realize it can also buy freedom. That is how I spent most of my money and over the years with a little bit of luck, I now own 100% of my time.
What started as a simple idea to inspire a few friends and family, my public portfolio has grown significantly and now generating about $1500 monthly in dividends. Compared to the average retirement account balance for Americans in my age group, which is around $260,000, this portfolio not only surpasses that but also sets a strong foundation for the future. My journey from a high school dropout to this point underscores a universal truth that wealth is within reach for those committed to its pursuit.
Enough of the small talk! Let’s get this little update on the books!
