Do not be afraid to fail because behind all failure hides valuable lessons. True but I don’t like failure.

I learned something important early in my life that has had a profound impact in my life. I have found that people who make too many large mistakes in life sometime gets set back so far, many tend to lose hope and settle.

Many people I have come across in my life unfortunately did not bounce back after major set backs in life.

The lesson? Learn from others’ mistakes so you don’t have to learn the hard way.

Not all are dealt a great hand in life so the worse your hand is the more important it is to make less bad decisions.

One thing that I absolutely love about investing is that it will humble you. Investing has made me realize how little I know of the world and that I will NEVER have all the answers.

Investing is a sport that will demand of you a lifetime of learning.

Learning from personal experience helps but it is not enough. You must learn from everything and everyone. And often times I found the biggest lessons come from the least expected people.

In a recent interview by Buffett and Munger on CNBC, they both shared how they always loved talking to older people and the importance of doing so.

I also loved talking and listening to older people. Older people are filled with examples of what to do and what not to do. You can learn a lot from asking away on what decisions in life they feel brought them to where they are today. It’s real life study and their life outcome is the result!

Today is no different. I find myself hunting for wisdom and knowledge every day. A practice I find very complimentary when it comes to investing. It helps me make better decisions. Wisdom from personal life experience and attained by others tend to reduce the amount of mistakes I make be it in my personal life or in investing.
